Yes, I’m a personal trainer, but theres a bit more to me than your average PT… I really dig functional fitness – working out for real world situations with real world movements; presses, pulls, squats and their multitude of variants. As such I spent time as a coaching intern at the CrossFit and Strength & Conditioning box TRAIN, home of the ‘2013 Fittest Woman on Earth’ Sam Briggs, and in early 2014 I furthered my training credentials and became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Mobility Trainer and CrossFit Strongman Trainer.

So, what got me into the fitness game? Back in the mid 2000s I was badly overweight (17.5 stone) and leading a sedentary life. I had horrendous knee pain (I struggled using stairs). The docs gave up. I was in my early twenties at that point, and I decided I was a little too young to just accept my fate was sealed! So I decided to change. I joined a gym, I changed my diet, I cured the knee pain… I changed my life. And now I want to use my passions and experience to change yours; be it from an overweight person struggling to get fit, or an athlete looking to take that coveted win!
